Challenge Jackpot is a British interactive gaming channel that is owned by Virgin Media Television and run in collaboration with NetPlay TV.

Availability

It currently shows Roulette Nation express and also Roulette Nation Live. The channel launched on 1 July 2008 as a 24 hour television channel on Virgin Media cable & Sky Digital. It is also available on Freeview via Virgin1 and Bravo 2 simulcasts overnight, and since 12 February 2010 on the Scottish ITV licensee STV - taking over from STV Casino. On cable, an interactive application developed by Two Way Media enables viewers to play along with live programming on the channel; alternatively, viewers may participate on the channel's website.[1]

On 1 July 2009, Challenge Jackpot moved from Sky 860 to 867[2]

Restrictions

It is not available in Northern Ireland due to "regulatory and legal restrictions". Games will be overseen by Ofcom and, because Two Way's gaming division is based there, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

Presenters

TV presenter and reality TV star Jeff Brazier, is one of the hosts fronting Challenge Jackpot,[3] along with Alex Kramer, Anna Fowler, Ben Baldwin, Emma Lee, Nina Sebastiane, Ruth Frances, Mel Peachey, Vicky Letch and Sarah-Jane Crawford.[4]

Business

Publicis has been appointed to handle the £3 million launch brief for Challenge Jackpot, creating a TV, print and online campaign and came up with the strapline your favourite place to play.

NetPlay TV Plc acquired the business assets of Two Way Gaming Ltd for £2 million in stock. NetPlay TV signed production and gaming agreements with Virgin Media for an initial period until 30 June 2013, and take over production of the Challenge Jackpot brand, including its website and television channel.[5]
