London Streets (known as Street Management until April 2007) is an arm of Transport for London (TfL), which is responsible for managing the main through routes in London, a total network of 580 kilometres (360 mi) of roads. These routes are also known as Red Routes or the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN), as they can be identified by their unique (within the United Kingdom) red road markings and signage.
London Streets is responsible for managing the London congestion charge, a fee that is charged to motorists entering the Central London area, London street CCTV systems, control of Traffic Signals and Bus Lane Enforcement Cameras (BLEC).
Motorways within London are the responsibility of the Highways Agency. The remainder of the London street network is the responsibility of the individual London Boroughs.
