Sindian City, (Traditional Chinese: 新店市, Simplified Chinese: 新店市, Hanyu Pinyin: Xīndiàn shì, Tongyong Pinyin: Sindian Shi) is a city in the southern part of Taipei County, Republic of China. Sindian is the official Tongyong Pinyin spelling of the city's name, at least until 2009. Sindian is one of the satellite cities around Taipei, with a very high percentage of its population commuting to Taipei.
